Saurabh Rao Reviews Rayladevi Lake Beautification, Orders Security Upgrades
The person in charge of Thane city, Commissioner Saurabh Rao, held a big meeting about Rayladevi Lake.
The lake is being made nicer and safer for everyone.
A local leader, Namrata Bhosale, had asked for help with problems at the lake.
In the meeting, the commissioner told workers to build a wall around the lake.
The wall will stop people from using the land without permission.
Police will watch the area more, and safety guards will be placed nearby.
All the security cameras will be turned on so the lake is watched day and night.
Workers will clean up the trash and keep the area clean all the time.
The power company will help make sure the lights work well.
Later, there are plans to make the ground stable, add parking, and keep the lake beautiful for a long time.
Thane Municipal Corporation Commissioner Saurabh Rao chaired a review meeting on August 6, 2026, to assess the beautification and infrastructure upgrades at Rayladevi Lake.
The meeting followed a detailed representation by corporator Namrata Bhosale on civic concerns about the lake.
The commissioner directed a priority boundary wall, enhanced police patrolling, security guards, and immediate activation of all CCTV cameras.
Officials ordered debris removal, a permanent cleaning mechanism, and streamlined coordination with MSEDCL for lighting and power.
Phase 2 planning with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) includes slope stabilisation, dedicated parking zones, and long-term maintenance frameworks.
