CBI Books Delhi Man Over Fake PMO Identity at AIIMS
The CBI has accused a Delhi man of pretending to work for the PMO.
The man was identified as Ravi Kant Sharma.
Investigators say he contacted an AIIMS officer using WhatsApp.
He allegedly claimed to be an officer who worked specially for the Prime Minister.
He reportedly asked AIIMS to give a patient faster admission and treatment.
The PMO said Sharma did not work there.
Investigators also found alleged similar requests involving two other patients.
The case includes allegations of cheating, false evidence, and violations of information-technology law.
The CBI registered a case against Delhi resident Ravi Kant Sharma for allegedly impersonating a PMO official.
Sharma allegedly contacted an AIIMS protocol officer on WhatsApp on February 26, claiming to be the Prime Minister’s OSD.
He allegedly used a PMO-linked email address to seek preferential admission and emergency treatment for Md. Imran.
The PMO confirmed that Sharma was not employed as an OSD to the Prime Minister.
The CBI said its enquiry found similar alleged interventions involving patients Kavita and Archana.
