Subhadeep Ghosh Appointed India’s New Fielding Coach

Subhadeep Ghosh, a former cricketer from Assam, has been chosen to coach the Indian cricket team’s fielding.

He will replace T Dilip, who had been in the role for almost five years.

Ghosh has coached many Indian teams, including the India A squad and the 2023 Asian Games gold‑medal team.

His first job will be during India’s two‑match Test series in Sri Lanka, starting in Galle on August 15 and then in Colombo on August 23.

The Assam Cricket Association and the BCCI welcomed the decision, saying it is a proud moment for Assam and a new start for India’s fielding.

Ghosh’s experience in domestic and international cricket is expected to help India improve its fielding skills.

The appointment was made just before the tour, giving him time to prepare the team.
