GIFT City Enters Global Top 40 Financial Centres

GIFT City is an important finance and technology hub in India.

A global report ranked it 37th among 115 financial centres.

This was nine places higher than its previous ranking.

GIFT City is also now one of the top 15 financial centres in the Asia-Pacific region.

It is the only Indian centre in that group.

Its ranking for financial technology, or FinTech, also improved to 26th worldwide.

The report looks at things such as skilled workers, technology infrastructure, rules, innovation and access to money.

These improvements show that GIFT City performed better in the areas measured by the report.
