Carney mocks Trump over teleprompter glitch; Trump calls Canada 'nasty'

The leader of Canada, Mark Carney, was giving a speech in Toronto when the machine that shows him his words stopped working.

Instead of getting upset, he made a joke about it.

He said he did not think it was a secret plot, 'unlike a certain world leader.'

Everyone laughed.

He was talking about Donald Trump, the President of the United States.

Earlier, at the United Nations, Trump's speech machine and an escalator had also stopped working, and he wanted people to investigate what happened.

On the same day, Trump was in Las Vegas and said unkind things about Canada's leaders, calling them 'nasty.'

Trump was unhappy about tariffs, which are taxes on goods that countries trade.

Neither Carney's office nor the White House wanted to comment when reporters asked.
