India defeated South Korea 4-1 in their opening match of the Women’s Junior Asia Cup China 2026 in Moqi.
Sanika Chandrakant Mane, Purnima Yadav, Puja Sahoo and Madhu Sidar scored for India.
India led 2-0 at halftime after goals in the eighth and 30th minutes.
Madhu Sidar made it 4-0 in the 51st minute before South Korea scored through KIL Gabin in the 57th minute.
India, the defending champion and winner of the last two editions, will next play Malaysia on Sunday.
