Tamil Nadu Sanctions Rs 6.85 Crore Annually for VIP Protocol

Big and important visitors sometimes come to Tamil Nadu.

These visitors might include the President of India or judges.

When they come, the government needs to pay for their food, stay, and travel.

The old rules only allowed a small amount of money for each visit.

That was 50,000 rupees per visit, which was not enough anymore.

The Tamil Nadu government decided to make a new plan.

Now it will set aside 6.85 crore rupees every year.

Each district gets between 15 lakh and 25 lakh rupees each year.

The amount depends on how often important visitors come to that district.

This way, the government has enough money to take care of the visitors properly.
