Brazil plans R$5.2 billion in fuel support measures
Brazil plans to spend R$5.2 billion on measures to support fuel supplies and prices.
They include tax breaks for gasoline and ethanol, plus subsidies for biofuel and imported diesel.
The diesel subsidy is set at R$1.40 per litre and will last 30 days.
The government says it must move money from other parts of its budget to cover the cost.
