US allows 180 days for some activity involving the ICC

The US imposed sanctions on the International Criminal Court, or ICC, on Friday.

It also issued a license allowing some activity involving the court for 180 days.

The license covers keeping the ICC operating, as well as certain services related to detainees and information technology.

The US says the period gives countries time to make progress on diplomatic and legal steps to address its concerns.
