South Korean lawmaker proposes faster handling of complaints against teachers
Seo Young-kyo said she would seek changes to South Korea’s child abuse law.
Her proposal would keep some cases from being sent to prosecutors if education officials say a teacher acted properly or police find no suspicion of wrongdoing.
It would also aim to shorten investigations.
The changes are intended to help teachers teach without lengthy investigations over complaints.
