Touristic Eastern Express to run 70 trips in 2026-27 winter season
The Touristic Eastern Express will run between Ankara and Kars in Turkey during the 2026-27 winter season.
It will make 70 trips in total, with 35 in each direction.
Ankara-to-Kars services are scheduled from 21 December 2026 to 10 March 2027, while Kars-to-Ankara services will run from 23 December 2026 to 12 March 2027.
Trains will stop for sightseeing at Erzincan and Erzurum on the way to Kars, and at İliç, Divriği and Sivas on the return journey.
The train will have sleeping cars, with 10 compartments and two beds in each, as well as a dining car.
Individual tickets go on sale on 26 October 2026 through TCDD Taşımacılık sales channels.
The scheduled stops let passengers visit places along the route as part of the train journey.
