Russia and Germany announce more diesel supply amid global shortage

The global market has been short of diesel.

Trump said Russia would send additional diesel, while Germany plans to release fuel and crude from emergency reserves.

These supplies could give buyers more options.

But the announced amounts are not enough on their own to fix the shortage.
