Canton Fair to add first zone for new product launches
The 140th China Import and Export Fair, known as the Canton Fair, is about to open in Guangzhou.
Organizers say it will host more than 700 new product launch events, with the number of products being launched up 15% from the previous fair.
For the first time, the fair will have a dedicated zone where new products can be launched, displayed and connected with buyers.
New products in areas such as service robots, smart healthcare, intelligent manufacturing and new energy are expected to increase by about 20% from the last fair.
The event will also offer services for buyers and businesses, including a new membership service for overseas buyers and a buyers’ alliance with 58 companies from 32 countries and regions.
Organizers say a digital navigation system will cover all 45 halls and more than 75,000 booths, with accuracy of up to one metre.
The changes are intended to help companies reach buyers and make it easier for visitors to find products across the large exhibition site.
