Mike Leigh’s ‘Tender Loving Care’ was developed through collaboration with its actors

Mike Leigh develops stories with actors by exploring who their characters are and how they would react.

His new film, ‘Tender Loving Care,’ follows two social workers in London and their lives outside work.

It also looks at care within a family as an elderly father begins to show his age.

The film won several major awards at the San Sebastian festival.
