Vorcaro’s defense does not confirm authenticity of reported audio

An audio recording published by Veja reportedly discusses financing a film about President Lula.

Vorcaro’s lawyers said they could not confirm the recording’s content, origin or authenticity.

They also said he has not given testimony to federal police or prosecutors as part of plea-deal talks.

The lawyers said Vorcaro remains available to help authorities.
