Ashley St. Clair defends Hasan Piker amid criticism over his 9/11 remarks

Ashley St. Clair defended streamer Hasan Piker against criticism over his past remarks about the September 11 attacks.

She said the attention on Piker distracts from progressive politics and that candidates should not be pushed to denounce him.

Piker has campaigned for or interviewed Democratic politicians, and his comments have drawn criticism.

The dispute matters because his ties to candidates have become part of political debate.
