Promise Robotics signs deal to supply DR Horton homes in Phoenix

Toronto-based Promise Robotics has signed a multi-year deal with DR Horton, the largest US homebuilder by volume.

The agreement will support production of more than 1,250 mostly single-story homes for buyers in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

Promise plans to open a 16,000-square-foot factory in Phoenix, its first outside Canada and its third overall.

The company uses AI and robots to make home-building components from existing designs and production plans.

DR Horton says the system could help it build with greater consistency and predictability.

The deal comes as US homebuilders face labour shortages, rising costs and pressure to build faster.

Promise expects the factory to begin manufacturing in early 2027 as it expands in the United States.
