OpenAI released hundreds of AI-generated mathematical results across many fields.

The work is spread across more than 700 manuscripts, so researchers say it will take a long time to assess.

Only 300 of 719 top-line results had been formally checked using Lean, a tool that can verify proofs.

Even those checks need careful review to confirm they match the claims in the papers.
