Marcus Mathers leaves WWE ID program after two years

Marcus Mathers has left WWE ID, a program that gives independent wrestlers financial and other support.

The Philadelphia-born wrestler said on social media that his time in the program ended this week after two years.

He thanked WWE and said he gained knowledge, friendships and memories during that time.

Mathers was among the program’s original talents, announced in October 2024.

WWE ID wrestlers may eventually be offered a full-time place in NXT, but no such offer for Mathers is mentioned.

He has already wrestled for NXT and continues to appear for independent promotions.

Mathers said he had matches scheduled against Amazing Red and Nick Gage, as well as bouts on Sunday and Monday.
