Brewers set for NLCS rematch with Dodgers after last year’s sweep

The Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers will meet in the National League Championship Series after the Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves in the National League Division Series.

It is a rematch of last year’s NLCS, when Los Angeles swept Milwaukee.

The Brewers scored just one run in each of those four games, even though they kept much of the Dodgers’ offense in check.

Milwaukee now has a chance to become the first team to immediately avenge a postseason sweep.

Of five previous chances for a team to do that, none succeeded.

Projections favor the Dodgers, though not by an overwhelming margin.

The Brewers have won more games than any other team in each of the past two seasons and have often outperformed expectations.

The NLCS will decide which team advances, while the Dodgers are also seeking a third consecutive championship.
