Bathurst 1000 race-day audience falls to 1.45 million

The 2026 Bathurst 1000 drew a national audience of 1.45 million on race day, according to Seven.

That was lower than the 1.54 million who watched the race day in 2025.

Across three days of coverage on Seven and 7plus Sport, the total audience was 5.5 million, down from 5.9 million last year.

Some lead-up events drew more viewers than in 2025: qualifying had 264,000, and the Top 10 Shootout had 785,000.

Seven said 241,000 people watched through 7plus Sport, a record for the service and 15 percent more than in 2025.

Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood won the race for Dick Johnson Racing.

Seven’s next live motorsport coverage is the Gold Coast 500 on October 24–25, followed by the Adelaide Grand Final on November 28–29.
