Experimental Emulator Boots PS3 Discs on Jailbroken PS5s
Coder Swordpdf has demonstrated an emulator that runs physical PlayStation 3 discs on jailbroken PlayStation 5 consoles.
In a video, the emulator started Gran Turismo 5 after its disc was inserted into a PS5.
The project follows Swordpdf’s recent release of software for playing physical PlayStation 2 discs on jailbroken PS5s.

The project could let some PS5 owners play older games from their original discs, but its limits are not yet clear.
The available information does not say when a finished version will be released.
