Florence to host Italy’s Regions Festival from 25 to 27 October
Florence will host Italy’s fifth Regions Festival from 25 to 27 October.
The event will bring together the presidents of all 20 Italian regions, along with ministers.
President Sergio Mattarella is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony on 26 October, and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is due to speak on 27 October.
For the first time, all commissions of the Conference of Regions will meet in person at the festival.
Their discussions are expected to cover regional and national policies on housing, health care, urban planning and schools.
The programme also includes a meeting between regional leaders and European Commission Vice-President Raffaele Fitto.
The festival will end with Tuscany handing over to Lazio, which will host the 2027 edition.
