Mullin says Mamdani’s comments after Bronx ICE shooting incite hostility
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent shot and wounded Oscar Belgal during an operation in the Marble Hill neighborhood of the Bronx on Thursday.
Belgal was hospitalized, and officials said he was conscious.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani called for ICE to stop enforcement actions in the city and sharply criticized the agency.
On Friday, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said Mamdani’s comments were dangerous and could incite hostility, and defended ICE’s work.

The child was physically unharmed, according to Mamdani.
