Actress Mayumi Osora discusses cancer and life between Tokyo and Ishigaki

Actress Mayumi Osora will appear on a Japanese talk show on Oct.

30.

The 86-year-old has spent the past five years living between Tokyo and Ishigaki Island, where she moved in 2021.

She says she is in good health and is happy with life on the island.

Osora has experienced cancer nine times during her life.

On the show, she will also remember her former husband, actor Homare Suguro, who died in January aged 87.

Osora began her acting career in 1958 and has worked in films, theatre and television.

The programme is scheduled to air on TV Asahi at 1 p.m.
