Alex Caruso ruled out against Suns with right ankle sprain
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Alex Caruso left Monday’s game against the Phoenix Suns after hurting his right ankle.
He was ruled out with a sprain after being helped to the locker room in the first half.
The injury comes as the Thunder are already without starters Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace, who were hurt the previous night and will need surgery.
Chet Holmgren, another starter, also missed Monday’s game with right-knee tendinitis.
Caruso had been expected to take on more playing time because of those injuries, so his absence adds to Oklahoma City’s shortage of players.
Williams and Wallace will require surgery, while no further update on Caruso’s injury was given.
