Israel says its mission against Iran is not complete

Israel’s defence minister said the country’s mission against Iran is not complete.

Israel Katz accused Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons, which Tehran denies.

Israel and the United States have carried out major bombing campaigns against Iran twice since 2025.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened further strikes, but it is unclear whether US President Donald Trump would support them.

Netanyahu’s rival Gadi Eisenkot has been tasked with forming a new government and warned against going to war for Netanyahu’s political needs.

Israel says it will keep its security zones in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.

Katz warned Hezbollah it would face severe blows if it joined an Iranian attack, but made no announcement of a new operation.

With regard to Iran, the mission is still not complete. Iran is trying to renew its efforts to obtain nuclear weapons – alongside other grave efforts that place the State of Israel in real danger.

We will not withdraw from the security zones in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria, and if the terrorist organisation Hezbollah chooses to join Iran in an attack on Israel, it will suffer extremely severe blows.
