KPK Seized Rp2 Billion Returned by KAI Chief in SPBU Case

Indonesia’s anti-corruption agency, the KPK, seized Rp2 billion from KAI chief Bobby Rasyidin in a case about digitalising Pertamina fuel stations.

The project under investigation covers the 2018–2023 period.

The KPK says Rasyidin received the money from someone who later became a suspect and returned it after learning it might be linked to the case.

The agency says it seized the money in August 2025, before Rasyidin became head of state railway company KAI.

Rasyidin says reports about him are untrue and has not given further details.

The KPK has detained three suspects in the case, including two former Telkom executives and a private-sector figure.

The investigation is continuing, and the KPK had previously worked with Indonesia’s state audit agency to calculate possible losses to public funds.
