Kieran Hayler denies rape charges as trial hears claims about Katie Price

Kieran Hayler denies raping and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in a trial at Lewes Crown Court in England.

Prosecutors accuse him of three rapes and one sexual assault in West Sussex in 2016, while he was married to Katie Price.

Hayler says the allegations were fabricated and linked to a feud with Price, who gave evidence against him earlier in the trial.

He told jurors he believed Price was trying to coach the complainant, pointing to messages in which she said she would make the girl “a little star”; Price said the phrase was a figure of speech.

Hayler’s former fiancée Michelle Pentecost told the court Price threatened to ruin Hayler and make people think he was a paedophile.

The jury will decide whether the charges are proved; Hayler denies them.
