Vera Health raises $28.5 million for its clinical AI search platform

Vera Health raised $28.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Threshold Ventures.

The company was founded by Maxime Allouch and Taieb Bennani, who first built the platform for their physician fathers.

Its AI search engine helps clinicians assess medical evidence by searching more than 60 million scientific publications, guidelines and drug labels.

It links its answers to supporting research and shows the strength and limits of the evidence, which can help doctors judge how reliable a finding is.

More than 800,000 clinicians use Vera across 190 countries, according to the company.

The platform prioritises local medical guidance, so doctors can see recommendations relevant to their country alongside international research.

Vera aims to expand in Europe after the funding round.
