Google brings Gemini’s personalized answers to cars
Google is rolling out Gemini’s Personal Intelligence on Android Auto so drivers can get answers tailored to their own information.
With permission, Gemini can draw on Gmail, Calendar, Photos, Maps, YouTube and Search.
Drivers can ask about flight details in Gmail, navigate to a place mentioned in a photo or get food suggestions that reflect their preferences.
The feature is optional and controlled through app permissions, and drivers who do not enable it will still get general answers.
Google says personal context stays in its secure infrastructure and is not used to train foundational AI models.
The rollout starts on Android Auto, with cars that have Google built in expected to get it in the coming months; in those cars, a connected phone is required.
For now, it is not available in the EEA, Switzerland, the UK or Nigeria, and is limited to personal accounts for people aged 18 and older.

What people are saying
Personal Intelligence has two core strengths: retrieving specific details from, say, an email, photo or a place you saved in Google Maps to answer your question and reasoning across complex sources. That’s especially helpful when your hands are on the wheel.
