Boca seek to overturn 1-0 deficit against Vasco in Sudamericana semi-final

Boca Juniors visit Vasco da Gama at Rio’s Maracanã for the second leg of their Copa Sudamericana semi-final.

Vasco won the first match 1-0 at Boca’s home ground, the Bombonera.

Boca need to overturn that one-goal deficit to keep their hopes of reaching the final alive.

A one-goal win would level the tie and force a penalty shootout, while a win by two or more goals would send Boca straight through.

Boca will start without captain Leandro Paredes, with Rodrigo Battaglia taking his place in midfield.

Vasco carry a 1-0 advantage into the match, despite losing their latest league game by the same score.

The match is scheduled for October 20, and the final is due to be played in Barranquilla.
