Harry Kane wins the 2026 Ballon d’Or
Harry Kane has won the 2026 Ballon d’Or, football’s top individual award, at a ceremony in London.
The England captain and Bayern Munich striker scored 61 goals for the club last season, according to one account, while another says he scored 73 goals for club and country.
Bayern won the Bundesliga and German Cup, and Kane also received the European Golden Shoe as a leading scorer in Europe.
He is the first Englishman to win the award since Michael Owen in 2001.
Kane also captained England to bronze at the 2026 World Cup, after the team lost to Argentina in the semi-finals and beat France in the third-place match.
England manager Thomas Tuchel congratulated Kane and said his performances had long deserved recognition.
Kane thanked his teammates, coaching staff and family, and the sources give no further next step.
