Mohammad Rizwan Cleared to Resume Domestic Cricket During Inquiry

Pakistan's cricket board has allowed Mohammad Rizwan to play domestic cricket again while an inquiry into allegations involving online betting and leaked dressing-room information continues.

Rizwan and teammate Imam-ul-Haq were called back from England after the second Test in August and barred from domestic cricket.

Rizwan is expected to captain Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in the Presidents Cup, a first-class tournament, from October 19.

He has appeared twice before the National Cyber Crime Cell, and his phone remains with the agency for forensic examination.

Permission to play does not mean the inquiry is over or that the allegations have been resolved.

A source indicated the inquiry could finish soon, but there has been no official announcement confirming its closure.
