Golfer Rin Yoshida throws first pitch at Japan Series game
Rin Yoshida threw the first pitch before Game 2 of Japan’s 2026 baseball championship series in Yokohama.
The 22-year-old is a professional golfer with two wins on Japan’s tour this season.
Her pitch bounced and went wide, but fans applauded her effort.
Yoshida passed her professional test in 2024 and has since won the Yonex Ladies Golf Tournament and CAT Ladies.
Her sister Yuli won her first US tour title at the BMW Ladies Championship in South Korea on the same day.
The events put the sisters in the spotlight and linked a major golf milestone with one of Japan’s biggest baseball games.
