Kharge urges Modi to hold all-party meeting on delimitation bill
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hold an all-party meeting on proposed changes to constituency boundaries.
He wants parties to discuss the proposals before they are finalised and presented to Parliament.
The request comes amid speculation about a special session of Parliament to consider a delimitation bill.
Kharge said Parliament has not been prorogued since its monsoon session was adjourned on August 13, calling this unusual.
He said this was his fourth request for an all-party meeting, after earlier letters in April, July and August.
A previous delimitation bill failed to win the required two-thirds majority in Parliament after being introduced in April.

Please do not once again try and bulldoze a far-reaching Constitutional Amendment Bill through Parliament as you attempted earlier and that met its well-deserved fate,
