VisionQuest Episode 5 Makes Ultron a Villain Again

VisionQuest Episode 5 Makes Ultron a Villain Again

VisionQuest’s fifth episode, “Firewall,” brings Ultron back as a convincing villain.

Ultron takes control of White Vision’s body and uses it to manipulate Thomas, Vision’s team and others.

He gives bounty hunter Paladin Thomas’s location and joins forces with the Butcherbird Killer.

The Killer is a synthetic copy of Carrington, who is seeking keys linked to the people she worked with on an AI project.

Ultron uses his control of one of those keys to pressure Vision into removing the firewalls blocking his access to the internet.

The episode leaves unclear what the keys unlock or what Ultron can do with them.

The review praises James Spader’s performance as Ultron but says the investigation scenes and plot mechanics feel routine and hard to follow.
