Samsung tops South Korea quality index in most categories for 18th year
Samsung Electronics led the most categories in South Korea’s 2026 Quality Satisfaction Index for an 18th consecutive year.
The Korea Standards Association runs the index to assess product and service quality across industries.
This year, it covered 121 categories and 369 companies, using ratings from consumers who had tried the products and quality experts.
Samsung ranked first in 14 categories, including 10 home-appliance product groups.
Its refrigerators have ranked first 20 times in total since the survey began.
Samsung also extended its first-place runs for drum washing machines and TVs to 17 straight years, while the association said it would continue developing home appliances that combine AI technology with reliable basic performance.
