Toyota recalls 2026 RAV4 plug-in hybrids over risk of power loss
Toyota is recalling some 2026 RAV4 plug-in hybrids because a software fault may stop the hybrid system from starting correctly.
The recall covers 652 cars in the Netherlands, according to the Dutch vehicle register.
At higher speeds, the fault can make the car lose power or shut down, creating a safety risk.
The problem is in software controlling the hybrid system, not in every Toyota RAV4.
Toyota will contact affected owners and reprogram the software at a dealer at no cost, including for cars outside warranty.
Owners can also check the Dutch vehicle register using recall reference MGP260405.
