Lotte Giants name Lee Dong-wook manager and Lee Taek-geun general manager
The Lotte Giants have appointed Lee Dong-wook as manager of the South Korean professional baseball team.
He signed a three-year contract worth 2 billion won, including a 500 million won signing payment and 500 million won in annual salary.
Lee began his playing career with Lotte, based in Busan, and later managed the NC Dinos to the KBO league’s combined championship in 2020.
He has also worked as a national-team fielding coach and a KBO roster-strengthening committee member.
The club says it wants to use data, improve fielding and strengthen player development, with Lee Taek-geun joining as general manager.
Lee Taek-geun was named the new general manager, bringing experience as a player and in baseball coaching and analysis roles.
Lee Dong-wook’s inauguration ceremony is scheduled for October 31 in Busan.
