Seahawks release Trevon Diggs and keep him on the practice squad
The Seattle Seahawks released cornerback Trevon Diggs from their active roster on Friday.
The team will keep Diggs on its practice squad, so he remains with Seattle but is not on the roster for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
The 28-year-old had one tackle in three appearances for the Seahawks this season.
Diggs was a standout in Dallas, making two straight Pro Bowls and earning All-Pro recognition after recording 11 interceptions in 2021.
Injuries and reduced effectiveness limited him in later seasons, and Seattle has given him little playing time this year.
Seattle’s starting cornerbacks have played nearly all the team’s defensive snaps, leaving Diggs with few chances.
His move to the practice squad keeps him available as a reserve option for the Seahawks.
The Seahawks released cornerback Trevon Diggs on Friday, October 23, 2026, and kept him with the team on its practice squad.
Diggs had appeared in three games for Seattle and recorded one tackle.
He had played 21 defensive snaps, while starting cornerbacks Devon Witherspoon and Josh Jobe each played just under 99% of the team’s snaps.
The Seahawks signed receiver Irv Charles from their practice squad in a corresponding move.
Diggs, 28, was a second-round pick in 2020 and made two Pro Bowls during his time with Dallas.
