Fox General Counsel Adam Ciongoli to Step Down on Dec. 1

Fox General Counsel Adam Ciongoli to Step Down on Dec. 1

Adam Ciongoli will leave Fox’s top legal post on Dec.

1 and then serve as a special adviser.

Nicholas Trutanich, Fox’s principal deputy general counsel, will take over and report to CEO Lachlan Murdoch.

Ciongoli will remain a special adviser until at least June 2028.

Trutanich’s new role comes as Fox pursues a $22 billion takeover of Roku.

Shareholders of both companies approved the deal, but the US Justice Department is still reviewing it.

If approved, the deal would make Fox the country’s third-largest distributor by monthly viewership, and it is expected to close in the first half of next year.
