James Madison visits Appalachian State on Thursday in a Week 8 college football game in Boone, North Carolina.

The Dukes are 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Sun Belt, while the Mountaineers are 4-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

James Madison is seeking to stay unbeaten after reaching the College Football Playoff last season, where it lost to Oregon in the first round.

Appalachian State beat Coastal Carolina last week, ending a two-game losing streak.

The Dukes have the conference's top-scoring offense, averaging 42.9 points per game, and allow 16 points per game, also the best mark in the Sun Belt.

James Madison is favored by 10.5 points, and the game is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m.
