British royals attend Remembrance Festival at London’s Royal Albert Hall

King Charles and Queen Camilla led senior royals at the annual Festival of Remembrance at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The Prince and Princess of Wales and other members of the royal family also attended.

The event honoured armed forces personnel, veterans and their families from Britain and the Commonwealth.

The ceremony used personal testimonies, music and performances to remember military service and sacrifice.

This year’s programme included missions in Bosnia and Iraq and the Gulf War, with veterans recalling those conflicts.

It also marked the 15th anniversary of Operation TELIC, the British military operation in Iraq.

The audience observed two minutes of silence as poppy petals fell at the end of the ceremony.

The royal family is due to gather again on Sunday for Remembrance Sunday.
