Dutch transport unions expect new regional transit strikes

Dutch transport unions FNV and CNV criticised employers’ final offer for a new labour agreement in regional public transport.

The offer was presented on Friday, but the unions said they were very disappointed.

They will put the offer to their members, although they do not expect members to accept it.

FNV described the negotiations as a waste of time.

Both unions expect regional transport strikes to resume if workers reject the offer.

The strikes had been suspended while talks over a new agreement continued.
