iQOO G1 gaming controller launches November 4 for 499 yuan
iQOO will release the G1 mobile gaming controller on November 4 for 499 yuan, about $75.
It is designed to attach to phones and smaller tablets, extending to fit devices up to 211mm wide.
Interchangeable grips let players choose a compact or console-like feel, while Hall effect joysticks are designed to reduce stick drift.
The controller connects to a device through USB-C and draws power from it, but 15W pass-through charging lets players keep a charger connected while they play.
Its software features, including customizable buttons and joystick settings, require iQOO apps and are officially limited to four listed iQOO devices running OriginOS 7 or later.
The narrow device support means many users may not be able to use its customization features, even though the controller is built for mobile gaming; it will be available in Cool Black.
