Singer Dalila recalls her son’s leukemia diagnosis and recovery

Argentine singer Dalila recalled her son Pablo’s leukemia diagnosis during a recent interview.

Pablo was 18 when doctors told the family he had acute leukemia, a cancer of the blood.

Dalila said a doctor told her the treatment had a 20% chance of working, and she remembered feeling frightened and searching for answers.

Pablo went through several rounds of chemotherapy and recovered from the disease.

Dalila said doctors had warned treatment might affect his ability to have children, but Pablo later became a father.

The experience still makes Dalila anxious when her son says he is in pain, even if the problem seems minor.

She said she raised Pablo and his brother Matías alone and that her fears come from the love she feels for them.
