Kadin proposes three measures to strengthen Indonesia's competitiveness

Indonesia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, known as Kadin, proposed three measures to strengthen the economy at a national meeting in Jakarta.

The recommendations are intended to help Indonesia compete amid global uncertainty.

First, Kadin wants safeguards for business and government cash flow, local government finances and household purchasing power.

Second, it says businesses need reliable supplies of production materials, supported by supply chains linking producers with finance and buyers.

Third, Kadin wants greater certainty for companies operating in Indonesia.

Its proposals also promote exporting Indonesian products and encouraging investment in the country.

Kadin planned to present the recommendations to President Prabowo, seeking closer cooperation between government and business.
