South Gyeongsang to Inspect Food Hygiene at 30 Indoor Leisure Venues

South Gyeongsang Province will inspect 30 indoor leisure venues from Oct.

19 to 30.

The checks will cover PC cafes, pet cafes and indoor sports facilities, including roller rinks and screen golf and baseball venues.

The province says food preparation and sales are increasing at these venues.

Officials will check whether businesses selling food are registered and whether kitchens are kept clean.

They will also look for unlabelled products and food that is past its use-by date.

The inspections aim to make these venues safer for young people, who often visit them, as well as other residents.
