Milan considers recalling Andrej Kostic from Sparta Rotterdam in January

AC Milan is considering recalling striker Andrej Kostic from Sparta Rotterdam in January because he has had little playing time.

The Montenegrin, born in 2007, joined the Dutch club on loan to gain experience and develop.

He has made four Eredivisie appearances, totalling 56 minutes, without scoring or assisting.

Sparta’s Milan Zonneveld has scored five goals in eight games and is ahead of Kostic at centre-forward.

Milan wants Kostic to get more chances to play and may seek another loan club for him for the second half of the season.

Kostic previously scored 12 goals and provided one assist in 42 appearances for Partizan Belgrade last season.

No January move has been confirmed, and his role at Sparta before the transfer window opens remains uncertain.
